Yemen’s November Economic Data Shows Major Currency and Import Differences

On 5 November, Yemen Economic Tracking Initiative data recorded exchange rates of approximately YER533 per US dollar in Sana’a and YER1,597 in Aden. Its import dashboard recorded 83,446 metric tonnes of fuel and 52,500 metric tonnes of food imports between 1 October and 1 November. The latest displayed food-basket prices were YER43,300 and YER129,866 respectively, dated 22 September.
